Mr. Roger Charles Collette, age 93, of Lynn, passed away on Friday May 12, 2017 at his home, surrounded by his family. He was the husband of the late Marjorie L. (Baird) Collette with whom he shared 62 years of marriage.
Born and educated in Marlborough, he was the son of the late Louis and Catherine (Dufault) Collette. He was a graduate of Marlborough High School and earned his Bachelor's degree from Boston College with the Class of 1944. Roger was lucky to have worked in a job he loved as a civil engineer at...

Mr. Roger Charles Collette, age 93, of Lynn, passed away on Friday May 12, 2017 at his home, surrounded by his family. He was the husband of the late Marjorie L. (Baird) Collette with whom he shared 62 years of marriage.
Born and educated in Marlborough, he was the son of the late Louis and Catherine (Dufault) Collette. He was a graduate of Marlborough High School and earned his Bachelor's degree from Boston College with the Class of 1944. Roger was lucky to have worked in a job he loved as a civil engineer at the Land Court in Boston, staying there for 50 years.
Roger loved to fly and in his youth, he earned his pilot's license and owned a plane. More recently, he enjoyed making collages out of colorful everyday items and trinkets. Most of all, Roger enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Roger is survived by his children, Lois Harbaugh and her husband, Rodney, Marilyn Collette, all of Lynn, Jean Ahearn and her husband, Glen of Peabody, and Alan Collette and his wife, Selma of Olathe, KS; thirteen grandchildren, Rodney Harbaugh, Jr., Jennifer Dube and her husband, Roger, Heidi Harbaugh, Kimberly Jolibois and her husband, Sandro, Jeremy Harbaugh and his wife, Crystal, Joshua Harbaugh, Brian Harbaugh and his wife, Valerie, Daniel Cipollone and his wife, Lauren, Leah Cipollone, Jessica Ahearn, Michael Ahearn, Nicole Collette, Dagny Sigurjonsdottir and her husband, Stephan Hink and Lena Magliacano and her husband, Matthew; great-grandchildren, Scha?na, Khianna, Leila, Mya, Emma, Izabella, Emma, Theodore, and Wyatt; his best friend, Greg Gallo; and several nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by his brother, Richard Collette.
Roger's funeral services will be held privately and are under the care of the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn, 781-599-3901.
